Golf
A round at PCC will rank amongst your top golfing experiences in South Africa. It is set against a backdrop of lush fairways and mature trees in the heart of leafy Waterkloof in Pretoria. Redesigned by the Gary Player Group, this course is a tough ask and is a true test for the pros and amateurs alike.
Pretoria Club
On the 20th of May 1998 the Pretoria Club entered into an agreement with the Pretoria Country Club in terms of which the substantial funds standing to its credit and such of the assets and artworks still in its possession, were handed over to the Pretoria Country Club in return for life membership for the 250 remaining members of the former Pretoria Club and the renaming of a room on its premises, as the Pretoria Club Room.
Squash
The PCC squash facilities are of the best in the country with six well maintained courts, a squash lounge and bar, and a covered stoep with a gas braai facility. We have become the squash club of choice for players looking for a more competitive league environment as well as those just wanting a quick social “pitch & play” kind of game.
Tennis
The six high-quality all-weather tennis courts at the Pretoria Country Club are situated next to the Club’s beautiful lake and are surrounded by lawns, flower beds and trees. A more beautiful setting is hard to imagine. Four floodlit courts provide the opportunity to play tennis after sunset. And after a good session of social tennis, what better way to relax than with a cup of tea or beer in the tennis kiosk.
Bowls
The Pretoria Country Club Bowls Section boasts two splendid greens located in a magnificent setting with a stunning panoramic view.
Snooker
PCC Snooker has emerged as one of Pretoria Country Club’s newest sports sections. Located on the 2nd floor of the grand Main Building, the new “Snoekerkamer” is PCC’s latest hidden gem. The original full-size Joe Davis.... championship table was fully restored and is now, together with its classically decorated room, serving as the perfect backdrop for entertaining and relaxing with friends. Once a month, PCC’s Snooker enthusiasts test their skills in a Monthly Knockout Medal. These Medal tournaments of course, preparing them for the annual June Club Championships.
Wine Fraternity
The Pretoria Country Club Wine Fraternity was founded by 11 wine lovers during the late harvesting period of 2014.The Uncorked Fraternity (as it is often referred to) established itself as the premier wine destination for wine makers in Pretoria. Hosting the CWG Pretoria tasting for the last 7 years we have gained a reputable relationship with the top winemakers in South Africa.
Bridge
Contract Bridge was invented in the 1920’s, and in the following decades became very popular. Bridge currently occupies a position of great prestige, and is more comprehensibly organized than any other card game. There are clubs, tournaments and championships throughout the world.
